Naches Valley Dollars for Scholars®: Serving the Naches Valley School District
The Naches Valley School District is in the south central part of Washington state. The west border is the summit of the Cascade Mountains from White Pass to Chinook Pass. The east boundary is near 40th Avenue in Yakima. The district also includes the Upper Wenas Valley to the north and Peck's Canyon and Cowiche Canyon to the southeast. We are geographically the second largest school district in the state of Washington. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 66, Naches, WA 98937
Our Naches Valley Dollars for Scholars is a very active group of community members. With the exception of July we meet monthly to take care of any business. Usually twice a year we get together socially and we all enjoy that aspect of being a part of the group. Student representatives attend meetings and provide news and ideas from Naches Valley High School. Students also work at our fundraising events in addition to adult volunteers. We provide academic support in different ways throughout the year. We also work directly with the high school and the middle school counselors as they are part of our board. Naches Valley Dollars for Scholars is proud of our accomplishments and the fact that we are now awarding so much more money than when we started seventeen years ago. We continuously work to garner donations that we invest so as to provide scholarship dollars for many years to come. We are always looking for potential members who are interested in giving back to their community and/or school district by helping us provide scholarships for Naches Valley graduates.
